The Graham City Council Thursday tabled a proposal from RKJ Adventures, LLC, for renovation and additions to Lake Eddleman Park after a committee reviewed the project proposal presented at the June 10 meeting. The project was tabled to the next city council meeting to address concerns brought up regarding the proposal.

During the meeting Thursday, concerns were brought up from Boat Ramp Road residents regarding the residents being made aware of the sale, water pressure, condition of the road, extra traffic at the location, swimming and lake access being restricted behind a cost, property values, lake law enforcement, upkeep of sewage and trash and the change in appearance of the area. City Manager Brandon Anderson addressed some of the concerns brought up and Robert and Ramsey Jackson, of RKJ Adventures, answered additional questions.

Anderson said the Graham Parks and Recreation board in their 2018 Parks Plan had set a renovation of Lake Eddleman as phase five of their plan. He first addressed how the information was made available to the community regarding the city requesting proposals.
