The city of Graham saw an almost-5-percent rise in sales tax rebates, compared with the same month last year. This marks the third month in a row rebates are up for the city. Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $779.2 million in local sales tax allocations for August, 1.3 percent more than in August 2016. These allocations are based on sales made in June by businesses that report tax monthly, and sales made in April, May and June by quarterly filers.
