The community rallied behind one local cat last week to keep her home at the Tractor Supply in Graham.

On Friday, Feb. 22, a post was made on a local Graham Facebook group by Leisa Bowerman Butler which said she was informed by a clerk at the store that they would have to get rid of their resident cat, Terminix, because of a complaint made to corporate. The post blew up on the social media platform and the community came together to keep the cat at the location.

Graham residents Allie Cullum and Ty Fisher saw the post on the group and were some of many who started calling to reverse the decision.

“Everybody started calling corporate and I was one of the people who called them and I tried to get higher up with people because some of the people had called several times and some of the people (corporate employees) were saying they don’t know what we are talking about,” she said.
