The city of Graham will be accruing higher sales tax rebates in December. With the December rebate, the city finishes a year of higher sales tax rebates each month.

Since January, the city of Graham has seen increases which exceeded their year-to-date budget starting with .49 percent increase in January and continuing with a 6.14 percent increase in December.

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $953.9 million in local sales tax allocations in February, 4.6 percent more than in February 2018.

These allocations are based on sales made in December by businesses which report tax monthly.

Graham’s rebate this month from their 1.5 percent rate is $251,689.05, up 6.14 percent compared to the $237,114.54 rebate received during the same month last year.

So far this year, the city’s rebates are up 6.77 percent, to $436,220.02, compared to $408,531.41 received at this time last year.
