The Young County Commissioner’s Court unanimously voted on Monday to give 30 days notice to Young County Family Health Clinic, operated by Graham Regional Medical Center, of their intent to terminate their contract held since 2015 for inmate medical services.

The Commissioner’s also voted to enter into a new agreement with Brazos Family Clinic Nurse Practitioner Joe Clark to take over the services.

“It worked well in the beginning, we have had some little issues here and there,” Marsha Sumpter, the county’s Human Resource’s Director, said about the county’s agreement with YCFC. “But, in the last year it has started back up on us and some of the services have not totally been appraised for.”
