Jazzton Miller and Carlos Fuentes did not know each other a couple of years ago, now they are getting a fashion brand off the ground in Graham with new items dropping Tuesday, Oct. 1.

“I met Jazzton in High School, he was homeschooled from sixth to eight grade,” Fuentes said. “Our first period was band, at that moment I was a junior and he was a freshmen.”

Fuentes, 19, said one of the first things he noticed about Miller,17, was his style and how different it was.

“I particularly have always been into fashion and people have always looked at what I wear as odd or different,” Miller said. “Instead of changing that to fit the status quo, I use it to my advantage.”

He added he hopes the brand can help people get out of their comfort zones.

“By the end of my senior year, that’s when we started to talk a lot more about what are we going to do after high school,” Fuentes said. “We live in Graham and there’s not many things to do here. We should try something new and that’s when we did our clothing brand and our brand name YungBast***Rascals.”

The recent graduate said he hopes to show off their potential and what they can accomplish in clothing through YBR.

“When we did our first collab back in November, we sold out at least 15 hoodies and 15 sweaters for the first six months,” Fuentes said.

The two said they sold the majority of their items in Graham, but did have a few sales in Oklahoma and Mexico. The pair is currently putting their designs and clothes together at Miller’s house.
