The Graham Rotary Club Duck Derby takes off tomorrow on the Graham downtown square lining up 20,000 ducks in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record. This year in place of the rubber duck race at Fireman’s Park the club is looking to beat the record for the longest row of rubber ducks on the square.

The event which was originally scheduled for April 18 was delayed due to COVID-19 and was moved to the downtown square on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 4:30-7 p.m. Duck sales went live again on Aug. 1 and are being sold for $5 for an individual duck or $25 for six, $50 for 12 or $100 for 24. Duck sales will be available online up until event day and will be sold tomorrow on the square from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Ducks previously purchased are still in the queue for the postponed event and eligible to receive a $5,000 prize. The Rotary Club posted Tuesday that they will be on the square at 1:30 p.m. to start the line around the square which will be ending at the arch in the center of the square.
