Early voting begins Monday in primary runoff election

Early voting begins Monday in the runoff election for the March primaries. A runoff election is held for the Democratic and Republican candidates in which no single candidate earned more than 50% of the vote in the March 1 primary election.

Early voting in the primary runoff election will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20. The deadline to apply for a ballot by mail in the election was Friday, May 13. Early voting will be held at two locations within Young County, North Central Texas College Graham campus, 928 Cherry St., in Graham, and Olney Community Library, 807 W. Hamilton St., in Olney.

Election day voting will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 24. Voting locations on election day will be the Graham First United Methodist Church, 700 Third St., in Graham, Loving Volunteer Fire Department, 8891 Hwy. 114, in Loving, Newcastle City Hall, 608 Broadway St., in Newcastle and the two early voting locations.

The last day to register to vote in the primary runoff election was Monday, April 25.
