The annual Food Truck Championship of Texas is making its way to Graham in less than two weeks with two other events taking place within the city to make for a full-day of activities. On June 5, the day will have the Possum Pedal, Food Truck Championship of Texas and end with a concert at the Young County Arena.

The cutoff for food truck applications was Friday and Graham Convention and Visitors Bureau Manager Grant Ingram said the competition has 49 application submissions with some trucks coming from Oklahoma and Arkansas.

“It’s been a busy day.” Ingram said Friday. “We’ve had several reach out today to finish up all their paperwork and required documents to make sure that they’re fully submitted by the cutoff. We’ve had a great week of food entries from food trucks.”

The organizers have started releasing a portion of the lineup of what trucks to expect with favorites like Cousins Maine Lobster and The Gypsy Kit returning. Due to the events of the COVID-19 pandemic last year there were some concerns about the vendors this year.
