Former Graham man sentenced to 25-years for indecency with a child
A former Graham man was sentenced Tuesday in the 90th Judicial District Court to 25 years in prison on the felony offense of indecency with a child by sexual contact. Gregory Bueno, 37, reoffended after being imposed a four-year prison sentence in September 2008 for the same crime.
Bueno waived a jury trial and took a plea bargain of 25 years in the Correctional Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and to pay a $4,000 fine plus court costs. Bueno is required to continue to register as a sex offender annually.
Bueno was indicted by a Young County Grand Jury on May 25, 2007 for an offense in September 2006 for indecency with a child by sexual contact for a child younger than 17-years-old. The victim was a 9-year-old child. He waived a jury trial and took a plea bargain of four years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and to pay a $2,000 fine and court costs. Additionally, Bueno was required to register as a sex offender annually.
Bueno was indicted Thursday, April 21 by a Young County Grand Jury for failing to register as a sex offender for his previous offense which required him to register annually. He was also indicted the same day on the charge of indecency with a child by sexual conduct, a second-degree felony. Due to being a repeat felony offender, his punishment was enhanced to a first-degree felony.
