Former Young County Judge Ken Andrews passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, in Fort Worth. Marking the end of a life of service to the citizens of Graham and Young County.

Current Young County Judge John C. Bullock gave notice of Andrews’ death during the Young County Commissioners’ Court meeting on Monday. Bullock thanked Andrews for his long run of service in the county’s government and asked for people to keep the Andrews family in their thoughts.

“We just ask you to bless those that have lost loved ones. Especially, want to bless the family of Ken Andrews for him serving this county so well,” Young County Precinct 3 Commissioner Stacey Rogers said during the opening invocation of the meeting.

Andrews served as Young County Attorney from 1972 to 1984 and stepped in as Young County Judge on June 1, 1989 after previous judge Jack Neal resigned. He would lose the seat in the 1990 election to Fred Thigpen, an election which was decided by 47 votes.
