Graham’s annual 4th of July Independence Day Parade is three and a half weeks away and the deadline for applications to be a part of the parade is coming up on Wednesday, June 26.

The parade, with the theme “America the Beautiful,” will be managed this year by four local non-profit veteran service organizations: The American Volunteer Reserve, The Young County Warrior Ranch, American Legion Post 34 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8567 and supported by the Graham Chamber of Commerce and Graham Conventions and Visitors Bureau.

Entries into the parade can include, but are not limited to, floats, bands, bicycles, military and veterans groups, walkers, horses or vehicles. All entries must provide their own vehicle if needed, and have a patriotic theme and decorations.

The parade line up will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Oak Street, north of Fourth Street with numbered orange cones marking each place in line. Parade marshals will be on hand to help with the event line up.

Applications can be picked up at The Graham Leader, Graham Chamber of Commerce, KBLY 100.5, or a digital version can be obtained by emailing Knox Bishop at gknoxb2@gmail.com. The forms must be completed and returned to Bishop at the same email, or via mail at 215 Eastpark Drive Graham, TX 76450.
