Graham Memorial Auditorium was filled with the sounds of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra as the Graham Concert Association wrapped up their 75th season.

With works of Sikuris by Carlos Zamora, Violin Concerto No.5 in A Minor, Op. 37 by Vieuxtemps and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, the FWSO showed their talents to the community of Graham. FWSO Conductor Alex Amsel, with guest performance by Violinist Daniel Bae, performed at the Memorial Auditorium on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

The FWSO has been a common performance to GCA for more than three decades, and Program Chair Brenden Weatherman said that there has been great value in having them come year-after-year.

In a previous article in The Graham Leader, Weatherman spoke about the value of the FWSO performing in Graham.

“I think just shows the value that they see in educating and giving people, in a rural setting and especially our children the opportunity to hear classical music,” Weatherman said. “To see it performed in a venue that is, obviously very historical to this community.”
