The Graham Chamber of Commerce’s Teacher Appreciation Breakfast will look a little different this year as they have re-imagined it to be the Graham ISD Shopping Spree. The day starts with a drive-through give away and encompasses local retail and restaurants.

All GISD staff are invited to attend the event on Aug. 7 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. to shop, eat breakfast, win prizes and take advantage of some local discounts.

Krisa De La Cruz, Graham Chamber of Commerce CEO, said that the chamber wanted something a little different this year to show appreciation to the teachers and educators of Graham.

“This year we’ve changed it up to do a shopping spree, versus the typical sit down, buffet style breakfast,” De La Cruz said. “So what we are doing is having a drive-through set up for teachers to pick-up their goodie bags, and so we are doing that on Third Street that morning. So they will drive through and pick up their goodie bags. Along with their goodie bag they’ll get, what I am calling a coupon, and a $10 Chamber Buck.”
