GPD make drug seizure
Approximately seven grams of suspected methamphetamine was taken off the streets on Wednesday, May 8, by Graham Police Department Code Enforcement Officer B.J. Cook and his colleagues.
Cook stopped a male driving a GMC pickup truck pulling a trailer for a traffic violation on the U.S. 380 bypass. During the stop, Cook learned the man, of Wichita Falls, had his driving privileges suspended and the officer placed the subject under arrest.
Officers Kirk Freeman, Hailey Calcote and her partner K-9 Wolf arrived on scene to assist Cook. Wolf performed an open air sniff and alerted on the pickup, allowing for a probable cause search of the vehicle.
Cook and Calcote located three plastic baggies inside of the GMC pickup, two of them contained a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. The other baggie contained a singled white tablet believed to be hydrocodone.
