GPD requests investigation by the Texas Rangers after tasing man with autism

The Graham Police Department requested an investigation by the Texas Rangers after an incident with two officers last week on Thursday, June 26 involving the tasing of 19-year-old with autism. Michael Moore of Graham was stunned twice, each for five seconds, after an altercation between Moore and the officers made them fall to the ground and the officers feared a loose handcuff on Moore could injure the them. “The Graham Police Department feels that it is important that this be investigated and the truth of what occurred revealed,” the GPD said on post made on their Facebook page. “At that point, whatever measure deemed necessary will be taken.” Pick up a copy of our Saturday, July 7 edition, or subscribe to our e-edition, for our full story on this incident.
