GPEF Hall of Honor program gets tentative 2021 date
After opening up nominations for the Graham Public Education Foundation Hall of Honor program in June, the district has announced a tentative date for the postponed event. The event will be held Jan. 29, according to Superintendent Sonny Cruse who made the announcement Wednesday during a Graham ISD board of trustees meeting.
The district had to postpone the event due to COVID-19 from its usual date alongside the Steers football homecoming game. The event will be the fourth since the program was approved by the school board in September 2017.
“Normally we do this early in the Fall (...) we pushed it back because of COVID. Tentatively I have set Friday, Jan. 29 (for the event). That is a home basketball game. Tentatively that is the date we will do the reception in honor of them in front of the home crowd,” Cruse said.
