The Graham City Council discussed the proposed budget for the 2018-19 fiscal year last Thursday and presented the capital request for each city department.

Based on revenues, the projected budget for the 2018-19 fiscal year general fund is approximately $134,000 higher than the 2017-18 year at $9,130,100. Revenues over expenditures in the projected budget has the city in the red by an estimated $25,412.

“This is still a little bit of a budget in process, just till the fire department and police department (are completed), I have got their budgets, but what this reflects is what we have spent this year and adjustments made in those respective departments,” City Manager Brandon Anderson said. “I need to go in item-for-item within their budgets, pretty much it will be some shifting probably of money, but it shouldn’t affect their overall dollar value at the bottom on their budget.”
