Graham City Manager Brandon Anderson announced Thursday he would be resigning from his position he has held since June 2015, and accepting another position as city manager for the city of Levelland.

In a letter written to Graham Mayor Neal Blanton and the Graham City Council, Anderson asked not to have his contract renewed with the city of Graham as city manager which will be ending May 31. Anderson’s resignation will be effective June 15, seven years following his hiring in the position.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed steering the City of Graham through some challenging times and rewarding times as well,” Anderson wrote in the memo. “Graham and Young County are full of the most passionate, caring and giving people that I have ever encountered. It is what makes Graham a special place and a hard one to leave. I can truly say what I will miss most is the talented staff of the city that works tirelessly to make Graham what it is. I wish Graham many more happy days.”
