Renovations continue at the Graham Area Crisis Center. Work is currently being done to modernize its current home, while a new search has begun for a new home for the center.

Board members Jack Little and Cathy Partridge spoke to the Young County Commissioners Court on Monday with Little giving an update on renovations taking place in their current location at the old county jail located within the downtown square. The county has recently assisted in funding for a roof replacement as well as other repairs in the facility.

“We’ve developed a new board,” Little said. “We’ve restructured the whole organization. We have a very fine, active board. We’ve had a lot of changes and with that comes your building. There were a lot of electrical problems, we’ve addressed that.”
