Graham golf advances to 4A Region I tournament

Graham High School will be sending 12 golfers to the regional tournament. Both the Steers and Lady Blues posted team wins in the district 5-4A tournament which took place over two days and at two locations.

Round One of the district meet took place on March 31 at Weeks Park in Wichita Falls. Both the Steers and Lady Blues took commanding leads after the first round. Easton Wolf had the low score of the day in the boys tournament. He led all golfers with a score of 80. Graham led all teams with a score of 334 after the first round. Zoe Carmichel was the tournament leader after the first round of the girls tournament. Her score of 90 led the Lady Blues, which held the lead at 379.

The second round moved to Graham Country Club and was held on April 5. With the win, Wolfe, Henderson, Austin Bryant, Mason Reese and Braeden Rhodes all advance to the region tournament. Zach Riggins, who was a member of a second Steers team, will advance as the low-score medalist.
