Almost a year after Graham Regional Theatre announced they were closing due to a Disaster Declaration in Texas due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization will be returning with new events. GRT will be hosting two Summer Youth Camps and their annual Summer Musical.

GRT made the decision to postpone all productions, camps, and activities through the end of June 2020 out of caution and in July 2020 postponed their season until 2021. Before COVID-19 hit, the theater had planned to have a full summer schedule for 2020 with a closing performance of Into the Woods as their annual Summer Musical. The theatre announced last week that they intend to keep that musical along with the Summer Youth Camps this summer.

“We have all had many obstacles to overcome. We have missed a few milestones. We have redefined some traditions. We have said many goodbyes. Our need for community has been renewed. Our need for togetherness has been reinforced. In just a few short months we will gather as safely as possible, beginning with our Summer Youth Theatre Camps! Then, we will have our summer musical, Into the Woods. We have missed this so much. We have missed our cast, our crew, our patrons, our friends. We cannot wait to see you all again,” the theatre wrote regarding the coming events.
