The Citizen of the Year award is one of four awards presented during the Grahammy awards ceremony based on community votes.

The Graham Chamber of Commerce opened nominations last week for its annual Grahammy awards honoring those going above and beyond in service and commitment to the community, or promoting local commerce.

The organization annually honors members of the community and businesses through the awards ceremony held in conjunction with the Graham Chamber Banquet.

Winners are chosen based on nominations from the community. All nominations are reviewed by a committee consisting of chamber board members who select the final winners.

Nominations are open online through Jan. 2, 2026 at grahamtexas.net/2026-grahammy-nominations/. Chamber membership is not required to submit a nominee.

Four awards are presented during the ceremony which are Volunteer of the Year, Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year and the Graham Salt Works Award.

The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes and honors a Graham citizen who has gone above and beyond in the form of volunteerism.

The Business of the Year award recognizes a local business who stands out as having made a positive impact on Graham.

The Citizen of the Year award recognizes and honors a Graham citizen who has shown dedication to the community and goes above and beyond to make Graham a special place to live.

The Graham Salt Works Award is presented to a Graham resident who has exhibited ‘salt of the earth’ characteristics in being a good person, leader and citizen.
