Graham Regional Medical Center is hosting a blood drive with Carter BloodCare next Thursday with those donating blood having the opportunity to get a COVID-19 antibody test for a limited time.

The drive will be held on a Carter BloodCare bus Thursday, July 30, at 1301 Montgomery Road in the parking lot of GRMC. Carter BloodCare is offering coronavirus antibody testing on successful blood donations for those that establish an account on their website.

“Donors can retrieve their results within one to two weeks through a personal account they establish on the blood center’s website,” the organization wrote in a press release. “In addition to cholesterol level, temperature, hemoglobin, pulse rate and blood pressure data, donors can now learn whether they were likely exposed to the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.”
