Graham Regional Medical Center’s new Human Resources Director Mandy Rodriguez gave her first report to the board during the April 16 board meeting.

“I’m going to do a brief overview of what happened in HR in 2018,” Rodriguez said. “Since I wasn’t here in 2018, I am just reporting on this through the data I could find.”

The hospital saw 508 applicants for 113 different positions throughout the year for an average of four and a half applicants per position. The average is higher than 2017s which was 3.3 per position, but the hospital had less vacancies in 2018.

She said the hospital is seeing more applicants coming from their website which will help bring down fees for job searches. It took the hospital longer this year to fill positions than in 2017, the 35 days it took to fill was still below the national average of 41.
