House catches fire on Crawford Street
The Graham Fire Department and a Young County Volunteer Fire Department combined efforts Thursday, May 16, to put out a house fire in Graham.
The departments were dispatched at 5:30 p.m. to 1904 Crawford St. Graham FD Chief Jerry David said three trucks and eight firefighters helped extinguish the fire. Graham Emergency Medical Services and the Graham Police Department also responded to the scene on Thursday.
“It burned up the bedroom and bathroom and there is some heat and smoke damage through the rest of the house,” David said. “The insurance company has been contacted and they’re going to come down and do some more digging on it and see if they can find where it started at.”
The chief said there was nobody inside of the home. The structure fire scene was cleared at 8:21 p.m.
A crowdfunding campaign on the website GoFundMe, was created on Friday, May 17, for the Jimenez family.
