David Donald, who was recently found dead in a church clothing donation box, died of drug intoxication, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled. That office concluded methamphetamine intoxication is what killed Donald, 33, of Graham, according to a press release from Graham Police Chief Tony Widner. The autopsy ended July 5 and according to a previous report from Widner, there was no evidence of physical trauma on the body. Graham Police Department was waiting on the toxicology reports, and those showed that elevated levels of methamphetamine in Donald’s system. His body was found Saturday, July 2, at 6:13 a.m. when Graham PD responded to a suspicious circumstances report at the Loving Highway Church of Christ. Police met with two people who said they had discovered the body of a man in one of the clothing collection boxes behind the church. A preliminary examination of Donald did not reveal any obvious indications of injury, violence or foul play, nor was evidence of violence was discovered at the scene. Donald was found inside the box wearing only a pair of shorts. Investigators were told people, in the past, had gotten into the donation boxes to steal clothing.
