Graham’s Adelynn Kuykendall achieved high marks in the peewee division of two competitions at the National Junior Hereford Association Junior National Hereford Expo.
Kuykendall placed top 10 in the overall showmanship competition and in the top three of the illustrated speech competition in the peewee division at the National Junior Hereford Association Junior National Hereford Expo.
The event was held from July 12-18 in Louisville, Kentucky. Lauren May, Stillwater, Oklahoma, evaluated the peewee and junior showmanship competitions.
The Sullivan Supply and Stock Show University national showmanship contest boasted a total of 599 showmen across the senior, intermediate, junior and peewee divisions.
Among the peewee divisions, Kuykendall placed seventh overall.
On top of her honors from the showmanship contest, Kuykendall was named third place in the pewee illustrated speech contest. The contest helps youth find their voice while promoting the beef industry and Hereford breed.
NJHA is one of the most active junior programs in the country with more than 4,200 members.
