LCS: AirEvac now offering fly you home service

A person who receives medical treatment in the golden hour, the first hour after a medical emergency, has much higher chances of survival.

AirEvac Lifeteam, part of the AirMedCare Network, can play a large part in helping those with medical emergencies at Possum Kingdom Lake get to medical professionals within the golden hour. Now, the AirMedCare Network will offer transferring to a hospital closer to home should an emergency arise elsewhere.

“Fly U Home is a new service we are offering,” Rhonda Dean, AirMedCare Network Membership Sales Manager, wrote in an email. “if you are hospitalized 150 miles or more from home and would like to transfer to (your) home hospital (we) coordinate (a) hospital to hospital transfer and fly you and family a member via an ICU jet equipped with medical equipment needed for your situation.”
