The Young Soil & Water Conservation District and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will convene a public meeting Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m. at the Young County Arena.
The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input into the 2017 conservation programs for Young County.
The SWCD and NRCS officials will be there to hear recommendations for implementing the 2017 Environmental Quality Incentive Program in Young County. EQIP is the USDA’s cost-share incentive program for assisting farmers and ranchers with the conservation needs on their land.
