The city of Graham, in partnership with the local Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden and a contractor with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, met last week to discuss feral hogs and the damage they have caused within the city. The agencies involved will be hosting a public town hall meeting Thursday with more information.

According to a social media post by the Graham Police Department Wednesday, May 25, the agencies were meeting to come up with a solution to address the increasing feral hog problem within the city of Graham. The agencies were looking at different areas within the city that had been damaged by the animals such as the Pitcock edition, city parks, houses around Graham Regional Medical Center and other various locations. The town hall meeting discussing the findings will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the North Central Texas College Graham campus at 928 Cherry St.

“The USDA Wildlife Damage Management Biologist will speak at the meeting and local participation is highly encouraged,” Graham Police Department stated in a social media post Monday. “All Young County/City of Graham residents are welcome to attend as we strive to find community solutions to this problem.”
