Multiple arrests follow meth distribution investigation

Nineteen people have been arrested since Monday morning – at least 12 of them in Young County – after a state investigation into drug distribution. “We had 22 sealed indictments for the offense of engaging in organized criminal activity, first degree felony, in reference to methamphetamine distribution,” Texas Department of Public Safety Staff Sgt. Dan Buesing said Tuesday morning. “A total of 19 individuals were arrested as of yesterday … Young County (District Attorney Dee Peavey) should be releasing a statement later today or tomorrow.” Twelve of the 19 arrests took place in Young County, and each person was charged with engaging in organized criminal activity. Those arrested and listed as booked in Young County are: • Michael Wayne Bunting, 51, bond was set at $100,000, he remained in custody at presstime Monday. • Crystal Michelle Grajiola, 37, $100,000 bond, she remained in custody. • April Faye Gray, 30, no bond set as of presstime Monday. • Peggy Sue Lattin McDonald, 51, she was released Monday on $100,000 bond. • Corey Lee Moore, 39, bond was set at $100,000, he remained in custody. • Darryl Eugene Polk, 57, bond was set at $100,000, he remained in custody. • Jerrie Lee Syon, 44, bond was set at $100,000, he remained in custody. • Troy Joseph Syon, 51, bond was set at $100,000, he remained in custody. • Brian O’Neal Terry, 46, no bond set. • Cherri Vel Tuel, 45, bond was set at $100,000, she remained in custody. • Heather Nicole West, 37, bond was set at $100,000, she remained in custody. • Zachary Blake Wilkinson, 20, bond was set at $100,000, he remained in custody.
