The physicians of Graham received over 300 responses to their patient satisfaction survey regarding Graham Regional Medical Center, which was released in late 2018. On Tuesday, Doctors Donald Behr, Michael Hay and Pat Martin met with The Graham Leader to discuss the results and changes they hope to make.

“We basically wanted to find out why people weren’t using the hospital and what we can do to improve the community’s healthcare,” Behr said about the survey.

The physicians of Graham group consists of Behr and Hay from GRMC and the team of physicians at Graham Medical Associates. The group paid for the survey with their own money and is working with hospital administration.

“I think one of the things that stood out to me was of the people who used a hospital, 88% of them used the Graham hospital,” Martin said. “That was a reassuring finding.”

Two of the most common issues raised in the survey were about GRMC’s hospitalist and emergency department.
