With two weeks left until the Duck Derby event at Fireman’s Park, the Graham Rotary Club has exceeded the halfway point in their fundraising goal.

As of Monday afternoon, the organization had over 5,800 rubber ducks sold of their 10,000 duck goal. The Rotary Club kicked off their fundraising efforts in late February for the second Duck Derby event and have assigned teams which help sell rubber ducks for the fundraising effort, Rotary Club President Pam Scott said.

“We’ve got over 20 teams that are signed up, that are selling ducks and trying to raise money for their team or organization and we’ve been doing sales around town in different locations, so we feel like we are in great shape,” Scott said. “Usually, there is a big push at the beginning of when you go live and at the end, so we are hoping for that push at the end because it is really a great event for families and just benefits so many charitable organizations in Graham.”
