The event this year due to COVID-19 has moved from the park to the downtown square and will involve the Rotary Club breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest line of rubber ducks in a row. The Graham Rotary Club Duck Derby event is two weeks away with ducks sales surpassing 6,400 as of Thursday. In place of the duck race, this year the club is looking to beat the Guinness World Record for the longest row of rubber ducks.

As of Thursday afternoon, Graham Rotary Club President Sarah Lundgren wrote in an email interview with The Graham Leader that there will be no in-person judge from Guinness World Records, but the event will more than likely have a virtual adjudicator who will look over the event.

“It is actually pretty impressive the plan they have in place. They will be supplying us with videos to play to announce the official attempt and then to announce if we did or didn’t break the record. In our case, we are going to break it,” she wrote.
