The city of Graham and Young County did well in accruing sales tax rebates in July, continuing an upward trend seen so far this year.

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will sent cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $759 million in local sales tax allocations for July, 11.6 percent more than in July 2017.

These allocations are based on sales made in May by businesses that report tax monthly.

Graham’s rebate this month from its 1.5 percent rate is $191,752.39, up 9.75 percent compared to the $174,703.93 rebate received during the same month last year.
So far this year, the city’s rebates are up 7.11 percent, to $1,336,970.53, compared to $1,248,187.92 received at this time last year.
