A search is ongoing for a Palo Pinto County man following a U.S. Marshal Service manhunt that took place earlier this month in Young County. Roberto Damian Rodriguez-Garay, 30, remains at large after authorities failed to capture the man following a search in the Salem Loop area of Hwy. 16 S Wednesday, Aug. 3.

The U.S. Marshal Service issued an update via press release Thursday, Aug. 11.

“On August 3, 2022, the Mineral Wells Police Department requested the assistance of the United States Marshals Service / Northern District of Texas in the apprehension of Roberto Damian Rodriguez-Garay. Rodriguez-Garay is wanted for Burglary of Habitation in Order to Commit a Felony (Sexual Assault),” the release stated. “The United States Marshals Service attempted to serve the arrest warrant on Rodriguez-Garay, however he evaded arrest by fleeing into a nearby wooded area near Highway 16 South and Salem Loop in Graham, Texas. At this time, it is unknown where Rodriguez-Garay whereabouts are or where he may be headed (...) Rodriguez-Garay should be considered dangerous, and residents should not approach him. If seen, please contact your local authorities or contact the USMS at 1-800-336-0102.”
