The Humane Society of Young County Executive Director Kristi Morrison stepped down from her position two weeks ago, HSYC Board President Rhonda Bone said. Morrison was made director last year on Nov. 22, at the conclusion of eight months of negotiations for an official contract between the society and the city of Graham. She had been acting as temporary shelter director, replacing former director Stacey DeJaynes Allen, who had held that position since 2014. “Kristi did a wonderful job of getting the shelter where it is today. She chose to resign at this time,” Bone said in a written statement. “We are looking forward to working with a new director, that can take us to the next level of care for the animals of Young County. We wish Kristi all the best with her future plans.” For the rest of this story, subscribe to our print or online edition.
