Lexie’s Lymphoma Benefit will be a one day coed slow pitch softball tournament to be held April 20 at the Graham Little League fields. The fundraising event will benefit Lexie Williams, a Graham High School graduate and 2017 Homecoming Queen, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma.

“God just weighed on my heart that I needed to raise some money for her,” Michelle Atwood, Williams’ sister and event organizer, said.

Atwood, who has been on and off the Graham Little League board, said she told Williams a softball or kickball tournament is a good way to connect with her age group and Williams preferred softball. The event will have a sign up fee of $200 per team. A team must consist of 10 to 12 people with a minimum of three females.

The event organizer said she hopes to have as many teams as possible register before the April 20 tournament.
