A tanker truck traveling eastbound on U.S. 380 lost control, went off road and eventually rolled over multiple times before coming to a stop in the front lawn of a residence Wednesday afternoon.

An all-tones callout came across dispatch around 2 p.m. requesting all available units to respond to the scene.

“We do have a witness that said he (the truck) was traveling in the shoulder and overcorrected and made a series of overcorrections which ultimately caused him to rollover,” Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper John Thomas said.

The truck, belonging to the company Safety Kleen Systems,  of Fort Worth, was carrying what Thomas said appeared to be hundreds of vials of oil samples. The truck also leaked a large amount of suspected used motor oil over the ground below.

The driver was removed from the vehicle with help from the Jaws of Life and was transported to Graham Regional Medical Center by Graham Emergency Medical Services with a head injury and other unknown injuries.
