Texas enters final phase to re-open economy
On Wednesday, Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order to enter Texas into the final phase of his three-stage plan to re-open the economy after the COVID-19 shutdown.
Effective immediately, restaurants may expand their maximum table size from six to 10 customers, bars may increase their capacity to 50%, as long as patrons are seated, and amusement parks and carnivals in counties with less than 1,000 confirmed positive cases may open at 50% capacity. COVID-19 related occupancy limits are lifted for churches, government buildings, child-care services and youth camps.
The following businesses are limited to a 50% capacity:
• professional, collegiate or similar sporting events
• swimming pools and water parks
• museums and libraries
• zoos, aquariums, natural caverns, and similar facilities
• rodeos and equestrian events
