Texoma Gives nonprofit registration deadline nearing

Giving donations for 16  hours to nonprofits in a 24-county area is the purpose of the Texoma Gives program that will be held Thursday, Sept. 13, with some nonprofits in Young County already on board.

The Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation created the online platform www.texomagives.org with searchable profiles for participating organizations, and last year many county organizations took advantage of the fundraising program. The Refuge in Olney raised the highest amount out of every participating organization in the Texoma area during the 2017 event, raising an estimated $106,664.

The registration deadline for nonprofits to create a profile online for the event is Tuesday, July 31, and to participate the non-profit must meet certain conditions. Nonprofits can sign up for free at www.texomagives.org and will be listed online by county and nonprofit type.
