The 16-hour online giving event Texoma Gives, which in previous years has had participation from Young County organizations, is looking for nonprofits to join the sixth annual program by their cutoff at the end of the month. Organizations in a 24-county area of north Texas and southern Oklahoma are eligible to be a part of the program.

The event was established and is currently organized by the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation to grow philanthropic efforts in the Texoma area. Last year, the program raised $155,298 among the 15 Young County organizations which participated. Over 5,000 donors raised $1,471,388 in total for the program. Since the event began in 2016, it has raised over $5.5 million for regional nonprofit organizations.

Registration for nonprofit organizations to be listed during the online giving event are open through July 31. All participating organizations are required to complete their profile by that date. The profile on the Texoma Gives website will have the name of the organization, a description of the nonprofit organization, their brand or logo, a link to the nonprofit organization website and any social media links if applicable.

Organizations which benefit Young County that have already signed up include Humane Society of Young County, Affirming Texas Families Services, Young County Olney Senior Cub Center, Graham Crisis Center, Peyton’s Project, Wichita Falls Crime Stoppers, Olney Community Library, House of Mercy Enterprises, Keep Olney Beautiful, Olney Christian Community Center (The Refuge) and Olney Education Foundation.
