Three arrested in Young County drug bust

Three were arrested after a traffic stop for speeding March 26 at the intersection of Hwy. 114 and FM 1769 resulted in methamphetamine, marijuana and a gun being discovered.

Deputy Devin Wright stopped the vehicle around 8 p.m. on the Tuesday and, when the driver refused consent to a search, an open air sniff was performed by K-9 Rocky. When Rocky alerted it gave the deputy probable cause to search the vehicle.

Found inside the vehicle was 1.1 grams of methamphetamine, 18 grams of marijuana and a SCCY CPX-2 9mm pistol believed to be unlawfully owned. According to Young County blotter two males and a female were placed under arrest around 8 p.m. March 26.
