With hopes of providing warmth for at least 300 area elderly, Beyond Faith Hospice is hosting a new blanket drive through Saturday, Nov. 16.

Beyond Faith owner, Becky Richardson, said the drive, which began on Nov. 1, is in its second year and is partnered with Meals on Wheels.

Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organization which delivers hot food to millions of elderly across America who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals.

“We were inspired to distribute blankets for Meals on Wheels recipients,” Richardson wrote in a press release. “We often see a need for extra ‘warmth’ in this area and want all people to feel wrapped with love.”

She added the Graham Activity Center will help distribute the blankets through their Meals on Wheels program.

Locations accepting new blanket donations in Graham are Beyond Faith Hospice, Jordan’s Pharmacy, Taco Casa, Highridge Church, KWKQ 94.7, Graham Savings and Loans and Graham Oaks Care Center.
