If you want the chance to win a 60’ Bad Boy Maverick lawnmower and a six-foot by eight-foot trailer, while supporting a local scholarship program, then the Young County 4-H raffle is the event for you.

The local 4-H program is selling tickets for $40 each or three for $100. The lawnmower is not the only prize up for grabs, as the second ticket picked will take home $1,000 and the third will take $500. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the 4-H Parent and Adult Leaders Scholarship Program.

The goal is to hold the drawing sometime in the summer, once the program sells 1,000 raffle tickets.

The 4-H program provides youth opportunities to develop life skills, communication and leadership. They use these to help better themselves for the growth and common good of the community and instill volunteerism.

There are multiple clubs in Young County including the charter Lone Star club in Graham and Salt Fork club in Newcastle.
