A Young County man was arrested Tuesday evening after leading a Young County Sheriff’s Office Deputy in a high-speed chase and foot chase. Larry David Locklear, 58, was arrested following the chase on a charge of evading arrest and two Archer County warrants for unlawful carrying of a weapon and fictitious registration.

According to a release from YCSO, at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, a deputy observed Locklear driving a silver Cadillac near Hwy 67 and FM 209. The deputy knew Locklear had outstanding warrants in Archer County and activated his lights and siren after confirming the outstanding warrants.

Locklear fled westbound on FM 209 at speeds in excess of 100 mph. Locklear stopped at a gate near FM 209 and Pink Brook Road and continued to flee on foot. He was caught in a pasture near his property by multiple deputies. After his arrest, Locklear was booked into the Young County Jail on the three charges. Locklear was released Wednesday on a total bond amount of $15,000.

No damage or injuries were reported during the incident.
