The annual Texoma Gives non-profit donation drive raised over $150,000 in Young County organization donations last Thursday. This year, 15 organizations within the county participated in the drive which encompasses an 18-county area in Texas and six-county area in southern Oklahoma.

The online-focused fundraiser opens for 16 hours annually and hosts around 200 fundraisers for organizations which have a searchable profile on the event website. The event was created and is currently organized by the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation with the purpose of helping grow philanthropic efforts in the Texoma area.

Organizations which are eligible to participate for free are 501c3 public charities who are located in the Texoma counties, which include Archer, Baylor, Clay, Childress, Cottle, Foard, Hardeman, Haskell, Jack, King, Knox, Montague, Stonewall, Throckmorton, Wichita, Wilbarger, Wise and Young. The organization cannot be a church, booster club or parent-teacher organization, but private schools, school foundations and tax-deductible scholarship funds were welcome to participate.
