Youth competitors from around Young County took home accolades at the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo.
The livestock show was held from Feb. 5-22 at the San Angelo Fairgrounds, with local competitors entering livestock from Graham FFA, Young County 4-H and Olney FFA.
The Junior Breeding Heifers Show was held in two waves Thursday, Feb. 12 and Sunday, Feb. 15. Three Young County competitors took top spots during the show.
Hattie Stephens, of Young County 4-H, scored a first place finish in her Charolais class and Hadley Trammell, of Graham FFA, scored a first and second place finish in two separate classes for Red Angus. McCrae Trammell, of Graham FFA, also scored a fourth place finish in his Red Angus class.
The Junior Market Barrow Show was held from Feb. 17-18. Matthew Bullock, of Olney FFA, and Lexi Gowens, of Young County 4-H, placed seventh in their classes for Yorkshire and White Crossbred, respectively.
The Junior Stars Gilt Show was held from Feb. 14-15, with Drake Elloit, of Graham FFA, scoring a sixth place finish in his Duroc class.
Ava Hammond, of Young County 4-H, took home a seventh place finish in her Yorkshire class for Junior Breeding Gilts during the show held Saturday, Feb. 14.
