Immunization clinic planned

The Department of State Health Services holds a Back-to-School Immunization Clinic from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 at the First United Methodist Church’s McCree Hall in Graham. Vaccines will be available for kindergarten, seventh grade, and college entry, and for infants. Adult immunizations will be available to those who qualify. The clinic is for those on Medicaid, who have no insurance, who are American Indian or Native Alaskan, or are under-insured. CHIPS, Medicare and private insurance are not accepted at this clinic.

GRMC reopens program for cardiac rehabilitation

Graham Regional Medical Center announced recently that it has reinstated its Cardiac Rehab program with Abi Gonzalez serving as the cardiac rehab technician for the program. Director of Fitness and Rehab Aaron Walker said the program was something GMRC wanted to provide again as additional support for the community.


“It’s a service to the community,” he said. “It is something we felt like we could do and at least be able to break even.”  

Longtime Graham coach passes away this morning

A fatal vehicle accident occurred on Point Road in Graham at 8:03 a.m. today, Thursday, July 7, involving Tommy Grace, a 63-year-old Graham Junior High School teacher and coach who has been a part of Graham ISD for more than 20 years. According to the Young County Sheriff’s Department, which is investigating the case with the Department of Public Safety, it is possible that Grace had a heart attack that caused his death just before the wreck.

Happy Fourth of July!

Graham celebrated America’s Independence Day with a bang, kicking off the day with a Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast in the American Legion Building and ending the morning’s official events with the Fourth of July Parade. In the middle of both events was the annual “Red, White & You” event honoring the nation and its military personnel.

Body found behind church on Loving Highway

On Saturday morning, July 2, at approximately 6:13 a.m. Graham PD responded to a suspicious circumstances report in the 1000 block of Loving Highway in Graham, Texas according to a press release by Police Chief Tony Widner. Upon arrival at the location, police met with two subjects who reported that they had discovered a body in one of the clothing collection boxes behind a church.

Food Trucks, Possum Pedal and concert draw crowds to Graham

Saturday was a full day of events for the city of Graham, starting with the Possum Pedal in the morning, the 2016 Food Truck Championship of Texas in the afternoon and a concert featuring Pat Green and the Casey Donahew Band to close the day.


All three events did overwhelming well, according to Krisa De La Cruz, CEO of the Graham Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau.


“I would say we exceeded expectations on all three events,” De La Cruz said.
